Apricot Moonflower
this one is new this year from a seedling that a dear friend gave me, it has grown so well, it's a keeper, it starts out a very light color then turns Apricot, the flower looks good for 3 days even in the heat
Elizabeth
Apricot Moonflower, yes it's a Brugmansia
Your apricot moonflower is a sweetie...are those more blooms of her peeking through the leaves?
I've a NOID apricot or peach or orange..quite light whatever color it is...I've 3 white noids...2 from seed last year and one this year. So far , all that have bloomed are the new white NOID..I love her..and and the light whatever color....and I love it too.
Must get out there today and give the babies that aren't Ying and the ones with teeny buds a boost with the Recipe..so maybe I can see what I have before frost and freeze come along.
How do you winter over your brugs? Last year my son took my 2 white NOIDS because hurricane winds from down South were coming...then didn,t bring it back..so I didn't have to worry about them
Don't you just love brugs? Enjoy your Apricot Moonflower....she is so pretty!
Helen
Elizabeth, Your Brug looks like it is very healthy and the bloom is very pretty. Congratulations!
I hate to open a can of worms. Your Brug is a seedling whose parentage included Apricot Moonflower, but it is not Apricot Moonflower. With one or two exceptions, Brugs don't come true from seed. It is really a NOID.
Pretty as a picture(smile)! Fragrant??

Hi
Helen, I have grow lights in my basement, that's how I over winter mine
bettydee, I will have to find out more, my tag says Apricot moonflower, could that be wrong?
Dee

I just got in contact with my dear friend, that was a plant, not a seedling, so it's the real deal, it was a clone, it is becoming my favorite of the singles that I have, a close second is Miss Emily Mckenzie, those long Blooms are amazing, that one was given to me by my dear friend also
Elizabeth
It is a beautiful Brug! I love the green on the ribs. It reminds me of Georgia Peach. How is the fragrance?
Bettydee
it has the best fragrance, that's why it's becoming one of my favorites, do you have it? I gave a georgia Peach too a friend of mine, I have to count mine, I have sooo many right now, I have 2 Frosty pinks, that I need to find a home for
they are over 5ft tall, I am going to call the local universary too see if they want them for their Greenhouse, I wish you could be here in my garden, a lot of the brugs have buds, should open by next week
Elizabeth
Elizabeth,
No, I don't have it. It will have to go on my "Gotta have" list. I would love to see your garden, but will have to be content in looking at any photos you post. LOL.
Bettydee
I am sooo glad you like my photos, I have a bunch of them, this is the first year I've had the Apricot moonflower
& I love it
Elizabeth
