Nice blooms Dee. Are you sure that's "Swamp Music"? I've never had any pink in my "Swamp Music" blooms. Just curious.

Hey Jon, I questioned that myself...doesn't look like any photos of Swamp Music I've seen but that is what the plant is marked and this is my first bloom...so we agree...if not Swamp Music, then what do you think it is?

Thanks Wilfred...that 'Moonlight Madness' was supposed to be a 'Black Jack'. Another plant mislabeled when I got it.

I'm not sure what it probably is Dee. Do you know which retailer in came from? It may be easier to figure it out by looking at all the cultivators that retailer offers.

I got it at a local nursery that carries Dupont CVs. How about a single Magnifique or a Me-Oh-My-Oh?

I would lean toward Me Oh My Oh. I used to have Magnifique and would always get semi to full doubles even though I've seen information stating you can get both singles or doubles.

You're welcome Dee. Too bad it was mislabeled, but Me Oh My Oh is a good award winning one to have. Believe me, I've received more than my fair share of mislabeled plants (not hibiscus though) in the last couple of years.

Yup, my birthday was yesterday when those two 'Forever Young' twins bloomed. I think nature is trying to convince me of something... :-)

I got lots of plants and a new phone from my daughters is in the works.

I didn't buy myself anything that I can recall. The only thing I remember from that day was having 3 or 4 different flowering plants in the yard bloom for the first time that day. I guess I just remember that because it's typical to see something new bloom for the first time every 3-4 weeks based on the number of plants I have. It was just an unusually high number for a given day.
I agree that a new washer & dryer doesn't count but it's still an ok gift. It could be worse. How about if he had bought you some new golf clubs!!! LOL

On my birthday I am queen for the day and I don't let any one forget it. My oldest was busy cooking up a storm for a party the girls were throwing for their parents and she asked me to empty the dishwasher...I looked at her like she'd lost her mind! I told her I was queen for the day and I don't do dishes and she told me 'Auntie Barbara warned me about this' and I responded with 'Auntie Barbara is a wise woman' Needless to say, she did the dishes :-) It only happens once a year and I take full advantage of it.

No,but he will try to send them in letter,I got live plant from Malesia in letter(hibiscus shisopetalum) so I hope they can travel too.

I think most countries don't permit is when the plants are planted in soil, they usually permit bare root if I'm not wrong and cuttings of plants or seeds for that matter.

Olja, when you say your husband is going to Sydney, you mean Sydney, Australia. I know there are some awesome hib in Australia we can't get over here, wish we could.
