Tahitian Sunset

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

I actually sold my big tree of TS. It was one of the largest trees that I had, but I was running out of room at my old place. A friend of mine has it so I can always go visit it. Anyway, I did save a cutting of it and grafted it onto this Celadine. I am glad that I still have it. It never fails to bloom, and although the fragrance is light, the colors are beautiful.

This is probably the cultivar that has the large flower heads of the blooming plumerias in my yard at this time.

very pretty... another one where I think the colors make up for the fragrance... you said it's grafted onto a celadine (one of my favorites), so does your tree bloom both colors?

Hi Brittany! Yes, if you look close in the last picture, you can see that both 'Tahitian Sunset' and 'Celadine' are blooming at the same time. I'll take a wider picture next time so you can see them both. I actually have a lot of multi-grafted trees now, and it is fun to see different colored blooms on one tree.

I bet that is amazing to see... does it ever confuse any guests that are none the wiser to what you've done? lol...

LOL! Most guests that I have over already know quite a bit about plumerias so I don't get to fool many people. LOL!
