Hmmmmm, very muddy!!. This idea sounds similar to the annual Mud Bay race in Olympia, which I have heard of but never witnessed. I think the mud there is thigh high, and they slog across at low tide when plenty of it is open to the sky.

Well, as long as they are not actually trying to SEE anything with their masks.....but how very, very strange a thing to do. The British sense of humor is well-known, of course. We try to match it to no avail.
I go on record as someone who would never even consider Laurie doing this!
