Problem with deformed wings on my Giant Swallowtails

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I hope someone can answer this question. Two out of three GST's eclosed with crumpled wings. One eclosed today, one wing perfect the other all crumpled. Is it something I am doing wrong? What is causing this?

HELP!

Longwood, FL

The problem appears to be the emergence. If the butterfly isn't able to squeeze through to force the fluid into the wings, they are unable to pump up the wings. I have had this with 3 out of 20 swallowtails , 2 zebra's and a julia.
Doesn't appear to be anything you are doing wrong, just ma nature.

I was just reading about raising cats on a link someone sent me. It says you should spritz the chrysalis with water when it is hot out. I wonder if that would have helped?

The GST is still in the flight box with its wings spread, any chance that it could still unfold overnight? If not what is the most humane thing to do for it. Wonder what happens to it if that happens in the wild?

Thanks for your reply.
