Best blue sib. iris?

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

I am planning a new bed with siberian iris or maybe JI as one of the plantings and was wondering which blue is the best? I can only fit four plants in this bed so the bluest, biggest and longest blooming ones is what I am looking to find. Please post your favorites and why they are good garden plants. Pics are really nice too. Thanks.

That's outstanding! Which one is that? My sibs just bloomed for the first time this year (all pale lilacy blue not bluest blue)

Jaybird is a very nice blue--hybridized by Ben Hager A newer plant is Schafer/Sacks ' Mister Peacock.'

The one in the pic is 'Silver Edge'. It is a pretty blue but doesn't last very long and is not awfully large. Probably needs dividing next year too.
Thanks for the info Lucy. I will go look them up thanks. I have been browsing at Ensata. Now I just want everything. LOL

iris virus is very strong--when you get it the garden explodes. Mister Peacock has the larger flower, but Jaybird is named after blue jays.
