I would either remove that branch if it is the only damage. Is there any other damage on the plant? If you do cut it away make sure to wash your cutters with bleach after just to be safe, and dispose of the branch. I am big on tough love, if they look sick they are history.

Thank you for answering theraglady. the whole plant is very healthy looking ,i did remove the branch with a tool i never use for plants .i was wondering if it could be a virus as i have other brugs,i will watch it really close .

It looks more like some form of fusarium than a virus.I would watch the rest of that plant very closely. It's unfortunate that fusarium is being passed freely even by some sellers who know they are doing it,and just don't care..It may also be a strain that is already in your own soil.Fusarium does pass to brugs from other solanums such as tomatoes, potatoes and peppers.

Although this article refers to tomatoes, the information is still valid since Brugs are related to tomatoes.

This one has photos to help explain what to look for:

I hope this helps you decide whether what you have is fusarium or not.

i have that too! i saw it on a brug i got from an online tropical nursery. i dont want to name drop since i cant be sure but it came from there but its the only brug with it . i figured it would heal, not knowing what it was! it just got worse .no wonder all my tomatoes got yellow , wilted and died! i better do some chopping on that brug before my others get it .

I noticed a wound in the center of the rot. It may be slug or grasshopper damage that left the area exposed to fungus. I'd cut off the branch, then continue to monitor the rest of the plant. You might also choose to treat the plant with an application of a systemic fungicide. Cleary's 3336F is excellent.

Iris i think we BOTH bought from the same person. Gordo i will try to find Clearys 3336f to put on the cut thank you for answering,i'm not giving up yet.
