Where do Hummers and Butterflies winter in the US?

Buffalo, MN(Zone 4a)

OK, probably a dumb question, but I've been stuck up here in the frozen northland for too many years! I think I asked this question once before and can't find it, so I'll ask again. In a few years, DH and I plan to retire. We would like to be "snowbirds" for a while-we have an RV on a lot here in MN for the summers and would like to find a similar setup somewhere warm for the winters. I'm thinking somewhere near Brownsville Texas would be nice-near the gulf, near the river . . .my question is, do hummers and butterflies winter over down there? I would love to be somewhere where I can watch them. So, is there such a place?
Thanks!

Here are only the first
urls I found with pertinent
information for you, I grew
up in McAllen and lived
in Mission and went to Univ in Edinburg and consider myself blessed to
have been able to live the
Valley experience!

Tropical plants, Hummbirds everywhere,
many other unusual birds
both tropical and northern
birds including green jars,
chachalacas, etc, Going
to date camp in the Bentsen Park and learning
all about the birds and
other wildlife, Because it is on the edge of the Chihian desert plus in a tropical climate with the tropical temps and the moist sea breezes, an unusually high amunt of
variety of plants which host a huge selecrion of wildlife
especially birds. Enjoy !
