You're welcome JB - you know you have a thread over on Mid Atlantic someone started too!!
Kay - sorry hadn't been on and didn't see your post...Queen of the Night 'Orange Peel' http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/92085/ Personally I've not noticed a lot of fragrance to her...but I'll give her some time.

Thanks, Chantell - I have the pale yellow one and it does smell good and strong.

Kay is that the regular Night Blooming Jasmine? Just wondering if I'm missing a jasmine, I may need...LOL

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Chantell, I did not know about the Mid Atlantic forium, thank you.

I threw out a big beautiful night blooming jasmine that I loved but it was constantly full of bugs, mealy bug especially, it took me hours to keep it clean weekly. One day I got so frustrated after spending hours cleaning it up, I went to the greenhouse and there is was covered again. I researched and all the people said the same thing. The bugs love it.
So, I threw it away. Can you imagine. It was four feet tall and just bloomed its heart out and I could not keep it clean of the mealy bug and so to save my other plants in the GH it had to go. I still miss it and the fragrence was wonderful, but I could not grow a clean plant of it for some reason. I am telling you, overnight it would be covered after hours the day before of cleaning and spraying and washing, etc. Made me crazy.

JB - yes I have to say the Mealy bugs and the aphids are the ones that annoy the you know what out of me!!! I will resort to heavy duty pesticides when all else repeatedly fails with them. Matter a fact - I spent probably 2 hours the other night scraping soft scale off 2 of my plants..I'd never had that before. Scraped...misted the areas with alcohol and then yes, did the unspeakable - watered with a Bayer product. I've been so good - doing the natural stuff...but we're into August and I can't have tons of creepin' crude going on w/them as they'll be in my living room come Oct. My NBJ is probably over 5' from the soil up. I only had aphid issues a couple of times while she was indoors and I blame that on my brugs - sad but true.

well a hip happy birthday from me too!!!

Hey dabneyrose, are you having as much fun as I am on facebook? I swear, I enjoy those FarmTown and Farmville as much as I do my greenhouse Of course I am a Farkle fan and the best part iit is all FREE. LOL.

I read in the Farm Bureau newsletter the other day that some of the members were complaining about potting soil being contaminated with something. I never did find out anymore. I will try and see what I can find and pass it on. Depending on the name of the soil, it may be part of our mealy bug problem.

I am so blessed to have so many wonderful , caring friends, whom I have never met. You make my days full of love and sunshine even on a rainy day. As I grow older, and I am doing just that, I will always remember the wonderful "family" you are and how lucky I was to be a part of it. Thank you so much. I am thrilled and so thankful.
