How was your day...177..????

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Its too early for me to be thinking straight but wanted to get a new thread started since the other one was running long.

I tried to catch up a little from yesterday, you gals are too funny some days. I appreciated the laughs, I was beat last night when I finally got onto the computer, spend a good part of the day working in the garden trying to get rid of weeds out there..and yes, in this heat. I had the cats out with me and even they were too hot to get into any trouble, they spent all the time looking for a cool place to lay.

Thanks to Bonnie for keeping up all up to date on the medical happenings of our hospitalized friends. Lets hope the recovery time is quick.

Debbie, I would feel the same way about anyone around here cutting down trees. It kills me when the developers come through an area and the first thing they do is bulldoze down the trees..I would think it would be better wto save the more valuable ones and build around them. I am sure most homeowners would rather have some mature trees in theiur yards then the pitiful decorative ones that are usually planted. When I bought this place, it was desolate out here, no trees close to me so the first thing I did was plant pecan trees all around the house for the shade. Now they are all grown up and provide wonderful shade plus the bonus of buckets of pecans every fall. It makes a big difference in the house, too..

elsie, what can I add to your cat hair in the wrinkles problem that others have not already said..that gave me a good laugh.

Tammy, was it you that are thinking of making a barn cat out of one of your cats? I am afraid to go back to read for fear of losing this post. I hope it works out for both of you. Is he a male cat?

Adina, now that you took a picture of the new dog house with some of your dogs in front, I wonder if it will be large enough for all of them. Lets hope they wont all want to get inside at the same time..

Sandy, I am hoping that your bud, the demon Andre, will regain his svelte figure and there will be no more need for diets for him. Course I also would like to regain MY svelte figure, wonder where I lost it..??

Melva, funny story about your uncle and his underwear. Some might think its disrespectful to laugh at a funeral but to me, its a sign that that person was loved and would ( if alive) bear no hard feelings at such behavior. Your uncle seemed to be well loved and I am sure the giggles would have been with him, not at him.

Wondering if it will ever cool off any around here. The heat index is the driving force that puts things into the miserable range. There is suppose to be a cold (well, cooler) front coming through this weekend, but the temps dont look like they will drop very much and not for long. Still any break will be a welcome one.

Missed Aqua yesterday so will have to go today, am hungry this morning but not sure what I want. Then I wonder if I should eat before I go or wait until I get back home..decisions, decisions...

Here is Floozie catching up on the latest news..
