Soil test kits or meters

Have been looking on the web at soil test kits and various meters. Please tell me what equipment has worked for you and what hasn't, how difficult to use, etc. Also, any place to get tests done in the Fort Worth area?

Your local Texas Agri Life Extension Center has little bags, and instructions, for soil samples. You send your sample to Texas A&M. I don't know if your local nurseries have resources for soil tests. It's a pretty quick turn around.
