Is there a rainbow colored plumeria with the scent of night blooming jasmine (cestrum nocturnum)? The one I have smells exactly like it and I've had quite a few people comment on the similarity so its not just my nose lol. I tried searching to see if there were any other plumeria that had that scent and haven't found anything. It is different than any of the other frangipani type plumeria scents that I've smelled.
This is a noid plumeria with 2 1/2 inch flowers with yellow and light pink and darker pink rainbow flowers. It is a good bloomer. I think it is probably some hybrid but was wondering if there was a named rainbow with that scent?

I don't think so, but smell is subjective. There might be a named variety in which the person that registered their seedling thought it had that fragrance or similar to it.
I don't have any that smell like Cestrum nocturnum because, quite frankly, that fragrance gives me a headache every time. I dug up my Cestrum and tossed it after I realized this. My neighbor had a huge one that smelled so strongly at night. I was thrilled when she too got rid of hers.
Your lucky to have a rainbow that is fragrant. I don't think there are a lot of rainbows that smell strongly. Nebel's Rainbow, Intense Rainbow, Puu Kahea, and Candy Stripe are all fairly mild, I think. I smelled a 'Loretta' the other day for the first time. It was fantastic and unusual.
Thanks I got this as a gift from someone who got it in HI and I just love it. I hadn't ever heard of any that had that scent. It is not nearly as strongly scented as the Cestrum gets so its not too overpowering.
