I don't remember planting this

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I move this rock around every year. This year, this ginormous lily appeared. I called Valley K where I have ordered lilies from the past few years and had it ID'd
OT called Conca d' Or

Each flower is about 8 inches wide

I have a few others, but not Conca D'Or. I think I need that one too.

Here's my Orania.

There are no weeds in here, so I guess I better get outside and find some. Won't be hard to find.

Looks similar to my salmon Star your orana .You know I lived here for a good five years without these Turks-Caps showing up and I never planted them so I think under certain conditions they can be in the ground dormant for a few years. These seemed to. Picture of Salmon Star Oriental below.

Lovely Lilies. I don't do them any more because it's such a hassle trying to keep ahead of those dratted red lily beetles.

I never even heard of them here. Knock on wood.

They are a European import. Slowly moving west. With luck you'll never see them in your time, but they devastate the lilies. http://www.uri.edu/ce/factsheets/sheets/lilyleafbeetle.html

I hope I never see them. Thanks for the link though will keep it just in case.

Beautiful lilies echoes & Marlina.

There have been reports of the lily beetles in Calgary so I wonder how long before they get to my area. It's too bad that there are so many non native destructive bugs.
