climbing roses and winter in woodstock

Woodstock, GA

Does anyone know if there is something I need to do to protect my climbers this winter. I just planted them this past may and they have almost completely covered my deck. They are cecile brunner and bloom on second year wood. I've spent alot of time fastening them to the deck and gosh darn it, I want to make sure I see a bloom.

Any ideas?

Why do you have to protect Cecile Brunner? I have to hack mine back every year to 6 to10 feet - it is a monster climbing rose!! Not that I want to get rid of it but I wish it was more manageable.

Sflowers, roses like the amount of cold they get here. Sometimes they wish they had more :) Yours should do fine treated as any shrub should be. I cut mine back in February for a great spring bloom!
