My very first rooted cutting

Columbia Station, OH(Zone 5a)

Received this cutting in Nov. When the blossom started to unfold I thought it was going to be cream colored but after 2 days it had splotches of color and then the next day had turned what I call a light apricot. I had never seen anything like that happen before. It has a lovely lemon scent..not too light or heavy. I just love it and am so thankful for having received it. I wonder if its papa recognizes it. The pic is of its first bloom. The next blooms were about 2 in shorter.

Here it is being held up so you can see what it looks like it if you were under it.

that looks just like my Apricot Moonflower, the leaves & the Flower, by the way you describe the scent, it sounds like the same flower, I do hope you get an aswer for what it is

It's lovely. Kind of looks like a Versicolor Peach, to me.

Elizabeth...I Googled Apricot Moonflower and their color is similar but their face views are a bit different.-- since it is a noid though,it could have some AM genes in it ....

I cut off the first 3 blooms yesterday...they got all battered and torn in a thunderstorm we had yesterday and were turning brown at their injury spots--really looked messy--
but the next 3 blossoms were opening so that's what todays picture is of.
There is one more bud after that...and then I imagin the plant will get
a rest for a while.

Dee, thanks I was quite happy to see some color ..but at first I thought that splotch was a beginning of dying off....the next day I was so thrilled to see more and more color and I knew I finally had a colored brug.
(All i had last year were 2 white single brugs that I grew from seed--and both of the seeds were from a pink mother

Teresa --thanks...Their colors seem a bit similar..but there again ...their faces look different.
