Dear BF lovers,
I have a newly eclosed Monarch bf and it is cool, expected cooler tonight (high 60, low in 50's) raining off and on and WINDY. I placed a sedum in the bf castle after taking it out of its pot and cleaning, going over it carefully to check for other life forms. The castle is outside on a covered porch and is about 4' tall so a bf can fly a bit in it. Should I leave her in the castle for another day or 2 days if the weather stays yucky?
Monarch release in bad weather?
Blossom: I think trying to wait it out for a day or two is fine (i'm a newbie to this too).
Yet, on the other hand........if she/he were out in the wild they would find a place to ride out the weather. Good luck. I know I get really worried about every choice I make for my cats and comfort myself with the fact that doing something to help them is better than doing nothing.
Thank you Ruth for your reply. I did keep him in and left him with a bowl of mashed bananas. When I came back home on Sunday morning he was on the bananas, but flew away as soon as I unzipped the door. Happy ending. That's the 4th to go, with 65 left!
