Ok - I just found the other pics! This is just beautiful. I only have 2 empty beds (9' x 4') at my new apartment and can't decide wether to put in perenials or do fairy gardens. They get full sun from around 10am on. Any ideas?

Perennials are certainly much easier. The garden I made is a tremendous amount of work. I had no idea how much time it would take up. I definitely enjoy it....but be prepared...it looks little..but it still gets tons of weeds and you need to be very careful pulling them out...you could pull up a whole miniature plant. Why don't would take a small area to start with for your fairies or gnomes and then make it bigger next year if you want. It is a lot of fun and you start to look a the world differently...and begin to see everything as how it would work in your miniature garden??? Good luck...I can't wait to see pics! Donna

You're right. I think I will begin my journey into fairy gardens with containers. Small scale will let me get my feet wet without so much time demand. I have seen some lovely container enchanted gardens while searching the web for 'fairy gardens'. Your lovely pics are just such an inspiration. Thank you Dona - Joyce
