CLOSED: What kind of Hawk please.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

This brave bird perched on a branch on the tree, it sat there and stared at me and my camera when I walked toward it. Will post a couple pictures here for I.D. purposes.

It poses for the camera and didn't fly off until I made gesture to shoooo it off.

Lucky in which way Resin? It's a beautiful bird, however, my bird feeder which attracted it there! Although, all the birds flew away before its arrival. I'm so glad there are enough vegitation/shrubs ect. down below where the little ones can hide when the big bad but beautiful one arrives. :-)

They take birds - their main prey is rodents (squirrels, rats, etc.), reptiles, and amphibians. Birds are too agile for them to catch easily.

Indeed, it's a wonderful world out there! Thanks Resin.
