siberian iris

Birmingham, IA(Zone 5a)

I need some siberian iris to plant where an evespout empties. Will they grow there or is it to wet? My lists of what I have probably aren't up-to-date, but would trade for any siberian. I do have access to getting some of the common blue.

Spooner, WI

I have a mix of siberians. Don't know which are which. Would you like to do a trade? What can you offer for zone 3/4, perfferably perennial, partial shade... I like sedums, hens & chicks, named hostas, named daylilies, iris or lilies, echinacia...

Arnett, WV(Zone 5b)

What would you like to trade I have yellow, white and purples.

Hi prettypeony.

I just wanted to answer your question. It might be too wet there, unless it dries out quickly after rains. Siberians can stay wet for a couple of days at most, and then they need to dry out some. Also, there can't be standing water over the crowns in the winter or you will lose them.

If there is standing water, you might be better off with some of the pseudacorus HYBRIDS (not the plain yellow one---invasive), such as Berlin Tiger, and Roy Davidson, or a virginica like Contraband Girl.
