Crocosmias are brilliant perennials but a lot are very similar. I think the important outcome in breeding now should be hardiness (or more correctly, the ability to overwinter in damp cool climates like mine)

This is a small variety, similar to Emily McKenzie. It does well in our Seattle Climate and over-winters quite well through our wet winters.
