Day 2 after blending my old girls and new girls together :>

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

Day 2: Well so far so good. My Delaware's vision was impaired by my rooster (who has since gone to the big coop in the sky) so I think that is helping to keep her from being too mean to the new girls. There are 3 old girls and 12 new girls so hopefully that ratio will also help things go a bit more smoothly than in the past. .....Why do chickens have to be so cranky when it comes to making new friends?? Here are some pictures! :)

Congrats on your new blended family, G_M!
You are making some big strides towards self-sufficiency for sure. =0)

Glenda! Pretty girls, are some of them buff minorca's? If so how do you lilke them? I have five of them and they are gorgeous but don't want to be around anyone or even close. They are really skittish, but lay beautiful large eggs. Thanks for sharing. Haystack
