After years on a training route with the post office best guess 8-9 years we are officially off training route and have a permanent carrier. Her name is Anna!!!!!
We own businesses and I do not have the words to describe the amount of irritation that this has caused over the years. How many time have we had our mail had delivered by someone 2-3 street over...opened. Mail that never make it to us. That is a big one. Wedding invitation's, recently we did not get one from someone that was getting married...... touchy subject. Somehow it came up in conversation...Oh Karen dress cool. Opened the door for a delicate I did not get an invitation.
I have a number of freshwater aquariums. I also breed exotic Japanese shrimp. They are fragile and expensive little guys. Anna and I had a long talk and she how will bring buy our priority mail first thing in the mornings....... She is so sweet and just a nice person. Finally we are able to get our mail.
This is a major privacy issue, there are some naughty people out there and can do a lot of damage.
Sorry to vent but no matter how much we complained they did not care.....bureaucracy
Finally Post Office Relief
The only time we have a problem is when there is a substitute on the route. I have had flower orders delivered to addresses three or four miles away from us. Fortuately, we have a small community of people that will call you and let you know they have your mail. One lady even brought my package to me!
I used to have to the post office to pick up my deliveries. Then we had to replace our box, so I got the extra large one. Now if it doesn't fit, our mail lady will bring it up to the house. Of course, she sits out there in her car, honking like crazy, until one of us goes out to get it from her. But that's O.K., 'cause I really don't want to wait for her to take it back, then go and get it!
What a nice morning....Our shrimp arrived this morning were left on the front porch around 10AM.
I wrote Anna a little note thanking her for being thoughtfull.
