Any help please, is this a female boat-tail? It was near the coast of Florida.

Nope...That's a (Northern) Mockingbird. Still our state bird but is going to be replaced by the Osprey.
It's perched on a Beautyberry bush...nice magenta-colored fruit.

thank you all very much. This photo was taken on an air force base in florida. The bird was really enjoying the berries.
