Voodoo Lily in zone 3/4?

Spooner, WI

I would really like to try my success with this plant. I am working on making a "weird" garden for my nieces & nephews & others, to try to help them get interested in gardening & to help their general education & ammusement. I am in the crack of zones 3 & 4, but leaning more to 4.

Can anyone give me input on this? Photos would be great!

Which one do you want? There's lots of Amorphophallus species. They're warm growers but become dormant over winter. Some people seem to be able to keep them going by insulating the bulbs to preventing them freezing during the cold. Or by digging up and keeping them indoors.

I'll have some bulbs of one kind but I don't know what it is.
Se if I can get leaf picture in AM.

That's a good question. I have no idea. The big, smelly one! :) It's for a "weird" garden theme that I'm working on for my nieces & nephews... hoping to get them interested in gardening & educate them all at the same time!
