Bird ID help please?................

Sanford, NC(Zone 7a)

I thought this might be some kind of Cormorant? However I'm second guessing myself now and realize I might not even be close. I took this at Jordan Lake here in North Carolina last Sunday. Warblers and this type bird always give me a fit when trying to make a positive ID. :( Thank you!

Thanks Resin! I can add that one to my life list now that I have a positve ID. :)

How about this one? Looks like a Mississippi Kite in the bird book, but might be a hawk (cooper's)?

Yep, MO Kite in a Baldcypress. Note the dark eye patch, pale head, and uniform grey back with no marking at all.
