Thr Brug that I have been waiting to bloom, has flower buds formed above the Y.
It has been a side shoot straight out below the blooms. It is a beautifully healthy
shoot. Do you think it may Y and have blooms? I am going to watch it to see
what developes. This is a most interesting plant, I have ever had.
Off-shoot
Good going Charleen, the manure must have helped. Had to treat six of mine with alcohol yesterday for an infestation of those white, wooly critters......forget what they're called, mealy bugs?
Did you put it in a spray bottle from the dollar store?? Or the old cotton boll?
I use those spray bottles for misting the alcohol and Meds. for my donks
and anything I need it for. Misting my concrete. That's a pretty shoot, isn't it?
do you have an orange brug? Wonder if it will Y out? I've never watched a
plant as much as I have watched this one. Think I am addicted to it. :)
Yes, a cheap spray bottle, too many to use a cotton ball. Haven't seen any blooms this year yet and can't remember which ones are what color "somertimers" got me......LOL
I know the feeling. I had to tie my Brug up. It kept leaning and I was afraid wind may blow it over. Did it the good old farm girl way. Two post and baleing twine. I hope they hold it up. Think this plant is getting to me. I told her "I had to tie you up so the wind won't break you before you bloom" I know that big old plant was listening to me. But she is so pretty and tall, I sure wouldn't want anything to happen to her.
Yes, we all get that "sometimers" more than we want.
