Hi,
I've got all the appropriate plants for the TS but they've mostly been depleted from this area. I've tried looking online @ insec sellers but no luck so far. does anyone have any links to folks who sell TS chrysalids? Is anyone so very blessed as to have some that they would sell? I imagine anyone who has these already has everything else I have- Monarchs, Zebras, Gulf Frits, Long Tailed Skippers. Technically, I have Sulfurs but so far they've not done remarkably well in a butterfly box on the porch.
Even Buyabutterfly.com doesn't have TS chrysalids. At least not yet.
All hints will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Maggie
Tiger Swallowtail Chrysalids- for sale or ?
What host plant are you using? I just got my first TST eggs ever on Prunus serotina. I actually got two batches of eggs; it must have come back after I removed the first bunch. So far, I've ended up with five caterpillars.

Hi Mellie,
I've got: prunus serotina, Tuliptree, Sweetbay, ash, and willow. I thought I'd seen one or two out front where the tulip tree and the sweetbay are. I actually had a couple cats several years ago but I should have chopped leaves off the plant. I put a lightweight freeze cover sewn into a bag over the tree/shrub to protect them from the birds but they disappeared. I think they must have crawled off. There might be some in the bay or the TT but if so, they are high up.
Would love to hand mate some or keep a couple in my big box to mate so I could raise the cats. They are the coolest looking of all the butterfly cats I think.
Maggie
