Does Anyone Love Russian AVs Like I Do?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I have found a wonderful not too expensive source for Russian av leaves. I can't justify ordering more leaves unless other people love them, too. I already have babies growing from a leaf of Blue Eyed Russian like this one pictured. My , oh my, shall I order the leaves or not? They have to be shared or I will end up with Russian african violets like I have streps.

There are only a few hours left on the ones I found......

Gail, I know everyone loves those cute little mini's, but I seem to really still like the standards. I like the leaves/foliage and the blooms too.

It is lighter than my picture shows, the flash didn't go off. There are 2 pictures on First class, mine looks more pink than peach.

Every time they bloom the colors change a little in pinks as they mature.......I love yours!!!

I have the Ian Madam and mine seems to have a specking of raspberry over the pink. I love the Russians too. The blooms seems to be so large and the colors are amazing!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I am so glad that I know someone (two people) who love Russians, too..............I have White Nights and Gentle May but they aren't big enough to bloom yet.......

Highland, IL

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I don't think so, Pat................don't order from Rob for Russians............Bluebird has a good selection and I found a lady on ebay for good leaves that sold for 3 and 4 dollars for two leaves.........outstanding collection.........I wil find her name and link you to her...............the ones I wanted..........all 12 of them just expired.................but here are some other good ones.......but not all as good.

Check this lady out on ebay.......

gessiegail I think I love them, too. I read somewhere that they are quite large but my are they gorgeous. A neighbor who gave me a leaf seems to like the Russian ones but she doesn't have any. She showed me a site and it's amazing because of the number of photos of different gessies, mostly avs but a lot are Russian ones. It's in Russian but they are just gorgeous and you can figure it out mostly at least the ones that are in English. http://www.senpolia.com/gallery/index.php is the link to the photo gallery. http://www.senpolia.com/katalog.php takes you to the catalog. Some of them are the varieties we get and some are the Russian varieties. Click on a small picutre and it opens large in a new page. You can use Google to translate it I think too. Oh I just tried it and it really works! Now I know the English name of the Russian ones! I have to tell my neighbor thank you again as I didn't try this before. Many of these are so pretty.
