Tropical Plum

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I bought this as a seedling couple yrs back,it has bloomed very little .
This yr lots of blooms, but they would only open halfway!
This is the first bloom, after a morning shower, with very cool temps,75* has finally opened.I pollinated
it with Mirandan Wind,so far none of the crosses has taken for me.

Beautiful color tropicman. Can you get cross pollination with the temps high? Read somewhere that they should be 60-80 F, but I'm certainly not an expert.....just a prolific reader. ;-) Anyway I love the color. Thanks for sharing.

I had 2 plum flowers and tried pollinating them, temps were around 87* so maybe we will get lucky!!!!

Tropic man, love the color your bloom, has a nice magenta that's not common, hope you get seeds from this one.
