Strawberry Cream
Mid August blooms
Great pics Dee
"Stwaberry Cream" Reminds me of willie wonka for some reason.
Just beautiful, Dee. Especially like Strawberry Cream & Tsunami. Love the color of Rum Runner too. Heck, they're all beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Judy
nice pictures Dee
I like "Strawberry Cream"
Thanks for sharing
Patrick
Curly Top and Belle du Jour
Strawberry Cream -- WOW that is a beautiful thing.
Is there someone who runs a certain forum like this? Knows the regulars and their specialties, etc.?
Yes, I'm a "new B"
Welcome Snarly.
Hey Dee, I love that pink. Is that Belle du Jour or Curly Top? All are breathtaking. Thanks for sharing.
Judy
Enjoyed the show! Thanks for sharing.
Patty
Judy, Curly Top is on top, Belle du Jour is on the bottom :-) Here is another picture of Belle I took today. She is very crinklely (is that a word?).
Snarly, welcome! Not sure what you mean about someone running a forum like this...we are all hibiscus lovers here and jump in on a conversation or post pictures as the opportunites present themselves. Feel free to do the same. I promise we won't bite :-)
Belle du Jour just moved to the top of my want list. That is just sooooooooo pretty. Love the pinks & yes, this is definitely crinkly & beautiful. Thats so pretty it doesn't look real.
Dee, do you know if Azalea food is good for Hibs? Lowe's had it for $2.37 for a 10 lb sack. If not I'm sure I have lots of plants that will like it. The numbers were 14-7-7. Just need to see which are acid loving as thats what it said on the sack.
Judy
Gorgeous just gorgeous Dee, love them all, specialty that "Tsunami", love that color.
Wilfred
Thanks -- I'm not sure what I mean either ;o)
Just thought there might be a "forum master", senior member or something.
Looking for someone who knows everything about Althea, aka Rose of Sharon.
These Hibiscus are just amazing -- hard to believe they're real.
Sorry Judy. Fertilizer is not my forte and I would hate to give you the wrong advice. For what it's worth, I use MiracleGro 24-8-16.
Snarly, there are a few ROS contributors on this forum but no one that has identified themselves as an 'expert'. If you have a question, post it and someone will chime in if they know the answer.
My love of tropical hibiscus is fairly new and I'm still in awe of them. Some of the pictures I posted are the first blooms I've gotten from the CV. It's pretty exciting. :-) enjoy!

Thanks, Dee, I bought the MG too. Had been using Peter's that I bought on sale long ago but it was 20-20-20 & learned here that the middle # needed to be small so I quit using that.
Judy
I love Tsunami & am coveting your Strawberry Cream, she's a beauty dee! I'm also eyeing your Belle de Jour, what kind of name is that?
Judy, I'd like to know about the azalea food too, I've got a bunch of it I'd love to use up, so post when you find out.
deb
Strawberry Cream wood is being reserved for you, deb. :-)
Belle du Jour is French. Like soup du jour (soup of the day) this is the beauty (belle) of the day. I think there is also a loose translation of Belle de Jour (woman for/of the day or prostitute) which is completely unrelated to my beautiful bloom :-)
just what I thought about the name Belle du Jour, hummppphh I say, in my best SNL ChurchLady voice!
Dee, do you remember where you got Belle du Jour? That is soooooooo pretty!!!
Judy
Judy I think Tried and True Hibiscus might have that one.
Patty
I got mine from Hidden Valley Hibiscus. Looks like they are temporarily sold out now but there are lots of beauties there
CAUTION! Review your budget and space limitations before you click on this link :-)

Thanks, Patty. Beautiful flowers at Hidden Valley. Blows my mind. Thanks, Dee.
Judy
Thanks, Patty. Beautiful flowers at Hidden Valley. Blows my mind. Thanks, Dee. Your Belle du Jour is a lot prettier than theirs. Hope yours stays that delicate pink color as it is breathtaking.
Judy
beautiful bloom Dde! Looks like you captured the colors perfectly, was it a morning shot? What kind of camera you using?
This was a morning shot using a Kodac camera, not expensive one.
Thanks for the comment. This hib is a real beauty, maybe my favorite.........today.
Too true, Robert is a great source for hibs. And hopefully we will have another HypnoticBlooms co-op in the spring with lots of new CVs. If you haven't started saving your loose change yet, start today ;-)
