Well we had our last wheel class and they let us do our raku pieces. If I had known how beautiful they would come out I would have been much more careful with throwing a raku pot. I just fluffed one off the wheel real quick and got back into using the other clay for the rest of my pots. ooooo what plans I have now for some raku things I want to do!! More sculpting than wheel though. I like the wheel but I can't seem to keep my focus on just pots. I'm going to make my own raku kiln...I have the "alternative firing" book... have to wait until next week though...hubby wants to go away for the weekend.
Also, found out the dr. wants to fuse my neck!! I said NO! Not now anyway...I sure don't remember him saying ANYTHING so drastic when he talked about the surgery he would have to do on my neck. He said I can't have the rotator cuff done until after we figure out the neck solution! I just got my 3rd shot in my neck so hopefully it will last more than a month...esp. if I don't pick up heavy molds! I couldn't believe the xray he showed me of someone elses neck with those pins and bar in their neck and verterbre....oooouuuuccchhhh.
