We wanted to have the outdoor shower completed by Roundup, and time is running out (2 weeks). DH hasn't formulated a plan yet so, help!!!!
Privacy isn't a big issue because we don't live in the city. We want a little privacy so you will feel comfortable using it before getting into the hottub.
I want: use some glass blocks to give it a little style and a hint of privacy. Maybe just a few as an accent window? We want a wall coming from the house to divide the patio into a private area where the hot tub/shower, etc is. located , leaving an opening to pass through. The rest of the walls will be shorter to be able to see over. Why take a shower outside if you can't be a part of nature?. Perhaps putting shower with dressing area and bench where the hammock is in the picture (on the outside edge). We have leftover hardyboard to make the dividing wall match the house exterior.
Does any of this make sense? We are not looking for fancy, but not a showerhead on a pole.
NEED HELP PLANNING OUTDOOR SHOWER
Whoops, wrong picture. That is a picture of a visitor we had in the garden, a momma and 2 little fawns. Of course, they had to sample everything in their path. Errrr. It is sad though, the neighbor found one of the fawns dead on the road today.
Here is the right picture.
BTW< What am I doing wrong, it takes me 5 minutes to post a picture.
I don't think I would divide the space with a solid wall - you would lose the expansive feeling that is so nice there. You would notice wall instead of trees. How about some large pots with large shrubs in them? It would be more romantic.......
You could make a shower surround by hanging some filmy fabric that would flutter in the breeze.
I ran across this on the trash to treasures forums. I liked her idea of a privacy fence for her outdoor bath tub. Check it out. Real cute idea using old windows. Something like this could be made to enclose your shower.

Bea - that is indeed a great idea! It looks nestled there in the garden and not intrusive. So charming!
Looking up toward the hottub, I would put the shower to the left of it and not interfere with anything already on that beautiful patio.
Some more upright panels (trellis- like) around the shower part would blend in and offer support for vines and hanging spots for pots.
That was a really neat tub surround with the windows.

I really like it, that could be so cool. to create a hidyhole like that for shower's would be so cool. But where to begin.
I just really looked at the last pic. I think (my own observation) LOL
If you took the tree in the photo, and made it your entrance then work behind it to create your room. What about a trellis or old a gazebo frame. To let vines like evergreen ones to climb it , would be like neat cave and private.
Justa thought
Thank you for the suggestions. Keep them coming!!!
The patio is a work in progress. We put down some pavers around the hottub this summer, need to finish it. The concrete was just completed 2 weeks ago, along with the driveway. That is why it looks so rugged around the edges and the backyard is torn up and s no grass yet. In fact, the contractor has not come back yet to do the cleanup. Darn, and I already paid him. My mistake. He said he would be back in a couple of days to finish. We still have to grade the back yard, but the tractor is not running right now. I thought we would have new baby grass in time for the RU. Set backs, set backs, that' s life.
New driveway.
I like the curves in the driveway. Inviting and graceful. Tell the contractor that several people are asking you about his work and if you would hire him again. Then tell him to get over there and finish up or you will call those people and tell them he does not finish what he started.
Your green house area is so charming! Nice arbor!
