CLOSED: what Sparrow?

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

With the yellow by the eyes, could it be a White-throated? The ones I had in Spring had more yellow and really white throat. So I'm a bit confused.

yellow by the eyes is a white-throated sparrow isn't it?

Savannah Sparrow also has a yellowish spot there. Not sure which of Savannah and White-throated this one is; given the dull plumage generally, probably a juvenile. Any more pics of it? And what sort of habitat?

Resin, he's eating seeds fallen from the feeder, in the front yard . I see him often around the pond, in the flowerbed there. And also down my steps near the deck, there's birch seeds on the ground there.
Here's a better picture of it.

Could he be a young chipping sparrow?

I'd go for White-throated - the bill looks too heavy for Savannah, and W-t is also much the more likely at a garden feeder. In plumage, the juvs of both look frighteningly similar in the books I looked in!

Thanks Resin , I was leaning toward the WT as well. Like the info you gave along with it.
Thanks for your interest Threegardeners, that's how I learn too.
