My winter friends -

East Hampton, NY

I have a feeder just outside my kitchen window and in the winter I get to enjoy the beautiful Cardinals.
Just wanted to share this with you..... winter will be here sooner than we think!

Nice shot alber!! I'm not quite ready to think about winter yet. :-)

Thanks Pell...... I'm not ready for winter, either, especially since we've hardly had any summer because of all the rain!! I've even had my heat on..... in AUG???.... Photo was, obviously, from last year but I love it and wanted to share. Remember to take care of our feathered friends..... and it makes me appreciate the weather we have now. Keep On Gardenin'

You have a couple cute birds there. Hope this year's winter will be milder for you.

I'm looking forward to fall and winter and spring.

I've only been bird watching a little while - since the last week of June - and am looking forward to seeing what turns up at my feeders later this year.

I have two Cat Birds this summer that are now eating raisins from my hand! They're very tame and show up every morning and afternoon for a "hand" out! Love 'em. I understand they migrate to Mexico in the winter, just like the Monarch butterfly, which I have a gorgeous picture of but hesitant to post it in the "bird" section.

I didn't think a cardinal would go on a feeder like that . It sure is a nice picture to have....
