I really like its shape! And color! I love yellow Brugs. There is something so cheerful about them. Congratulations!
Thanks Veronica. Have you gotten any rain? Hope it has cooled off some there. I wasn't sure if this one was going to make it to bloom this year. The snow back in Dec sent a shockwave through the whole garden.
Jean,nice photos.
Thanks, Cody. I wasn't sure any of my guys were gonna manage blooms between no rain, critters and heat. Grin
I'm still waiting for rain Jean. There is some rain falling in east Texas, but our chances are slim. Haven't seen real rain since mid-April. Critters still very active eating plants!
I would love to send some or all of this your way. We have rain predicted for everyday for the next week and have had rain of some sort nearly everyday for the past three weeks. Maybe I am not being clear enough in where it needs to go.grin Keeping you in my thoughts, just need to think harder.
Jean
The High that is keeping us dry is supposed to be moving east for a few days. Maybe you'll get a break from all that rain. My DH has been working at Grand Gulf in Mississippi and calls me every day to tell me it's rained again.
Doesn't that just make you want to bark? I certainly hope things break quickly and the rains come your way soon.
Oh Cody. That one is sweet. The crisp white against the velvet of the leaves is striking. Does it have a name?
Thanks Jean, that is a double noid.As you can see the second skirt won't drop.It rottens in the middle before the middle opens up.So i just go and open the middle up and pull the rotten mess away.So i just enjoy it as a single instead of a double.

I'm new at this. Could you please tell me whay"NOID" means?
That white Brug is beautiful. I love them all. My Orange one has
formed the Y and the blooms are forming. How long after they bloom
before I can take a cutting from the top of the Y? If it has seeds I
am going to see if I can raise babies from it. I know-be patient,
I'll try. :)
Hi Rides, NOID means NO ID, for unknown name
Ridesredmule, thanks,NOID means no ID,that you don't no the name of the plant. The only way you will get seeds is if you hybridiz the flower from another flower to form seedpods.People take cuttings before it starts to get cold.I'm not sure about the Y thing maybe someone else can tell you about that.
Cody
Thank you both. Cody and themoonhowl for the information. The plants bloom above the Y. I got one loaded i took this morning with the new bloom. There I found it. I have a heck of a time finding the right one sometime. I guess my Orange is a NOID also. I got it in Alabama at a plant sale as we were coming home from Florida. But here is a pic of the bloom and the Y I'm sure it is ove 6' tall. I run out and look at it every morning and then several times a day.
Happy, healthy looking plant Rides....you are very welcome.
You are very welcome. When the buds start to grow it does take time for them to open.I go and check on mine every 3 or 4 days.Right now i think i have about 3 or 4 plants with buds on them. Two of them will be first time bloomers for me.So yea,you do get happy when you see that bloom for the first time.I know i did.
Cody
