Can this really be a hydrangea?

Newport, OR

We just moved to the Oregon coast and I'm having trouble identifying several plants in this yard (which has had no care for over 3 years!). This is a beautiful plant, but if it is a hydrangea, it is the most unusual color I've ever seen.

Hi neighbor,
So glad to see someone new in the neighbor hood. I am just 6 miles from you. We should get together to meet face to face sometime. I live in Toledo.
I am having another DGer from Dallas Oregon over on Monday to teach a pine needle basket weaving class to her. I met another lady from Dallas about a month ago from DG. I taught her and a friend the same class. It is such fun to meet fellow DG'ers face to face and be able to share knowledge and good times and have lunch. Lynn will spend the night as it will be difficult for her as it would be for me to drive in the dark.
Welcome to the neighborhood my friend. Stop by and have a cup of coffee or tea or just chat sometime

Gorgeous hydrangea. I have never gardened on the coast before; should be an adventure! Those hydrangeas are quite simple to propagate. Just pick a bouquet, place in water, and some of them will surely sprout roots while you are enjoying the flowers. I have so many babies now from one small florist's Mothers' Day pot. The purists can tell you how it's ACTUALLY done! But you can be trading in no time,
