PNWMountaingirl and I will help with the silverware, plates. condiments (including garden grown tomatos!), etc Lynn!

We will also be bringing big fishie! Salmon and halibut to BBQ...we have frozen reserves if we aren't successful next week, but we are hoping for a fresh 50 pounder!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

I'll bring some alcoholic drinks (probably hard lemonade and vodka coolers).

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Oooh, my mouth is watering now for the fishie, and Katye, you are my kind of girl. Wait, that sounded funny!

North Lakewood, WA(Zone 8b)

I can bring anything that is needed. I can also bring some home-made chokecherry vodka and mixer.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Chokecherry vodka, I am game to try it. What do you mix it with?

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

straight up with a twist of orange.

I'll bring tropical brownies & a vegetable salad.

Vashon, WA(Zone 8b)

I'll bring zucchini bread and apple cider (the regular kind kids can drink too).

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

How about if I bring a watermelon (and maybe some other fruit also, depending on what's good in the store that week) and a couple loaves of homemade cranberry pumpkin bread?

I also have a stack of 40 styro-plates I could bring, if that would help.

Lebanon, OR

hopefully next year I can come....I would love to come, but all I can bring is iris.

D

(Linda)Gig Harbor, WA(Zone 8a)

I will bring a green salad if that has not been offered, garlic bread and a coupla bottles of wine. I have a lot of plastic cups if that will be of help.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Irislover, you don't have to bring anything. And I would love to have more iris. I only have a few yellow ones that came from my dad's years ago, and now they are sadly waiting in a pot, waiting to be planted in the ground. Please come to the RU., look at the other threads, we have lots of room for you to stay.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Gwendalou, that all sounds so yummy! What is Prosecco?

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

Prosecco is Italian sparkling wine. So it's basically champagne from Italy. It makes nice mimosas. I'll bring some OJ too and we can have mimosas in the a.m.!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Mimosas in the am sounds great.
Gosh, less than 1 week away now!

(Sharon)SouthPrairie, WA(Zone 7a)

I will repeat Lynn's question posted elsewhere.....Does anyone have any special food requirements? Yes, Steve, we have noted yours! Please let us know.

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

I'm allergic to capsaicin. Can't eat pepper in any way, shape or form (not even ordinary black pepper). That goes for ginger and curry, too. But I don't want anyone to change any recipes or make a "special batch" of anything, just tell me if something has pepper in it so I can avoid it. :)

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Oh my, Pony, I am so glad you told us. I am a Pepper Person.

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

It's a very inconvenient allergy. But like I said, I don't want anybody to change any dishes or anything- I'm used to eating lots of fruit and bread at potlucks. ;)

(And I won't be there Friday, so don't worry about the chili) :)

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

That was my concern. I was going to make you something special instead of chili. So, can you eat the salmon without pepper on it? Or hamburgers? We will make sure you get to eat more than bread and fruit!!!

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Salmon and hamburgers are both fine and dandy if unpeppered. :)

My family calls pepper "Pony Poison". hehe.

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Pony Poison no good! I am planning on cooking the fish, so you need to be on top of me to make sure a section is unpeppered (lemmon pepper is one of my favoirite spices). Will do part with and part without, but you have to be responsible for helping me remember which is which! I love to cook, but am also easily distracted, so I will make something half and half (DH is fussy in the salt area, so often I make part more heavily salted than his) and will be sure that I will remember which half is which. Then I have a glass of wind and chat and look back at the food and say "hmmm....I think it was the right side that I didn't salt......." Crap shoot at best if I am on my own! If you help me, it's all good! Maybe a section of cod and salmon wraped seperately that don't have pepper?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I am not as bad as Pony, But I can not handle hot spicy foods. Which I will try a taste and If eyes water and tongue burns. I won't eat it, find something else to eat. LOL I love to cook with pepper, but putting on my food is just a little and I'm good. Hows the Chili LOL
Have no other problems, unless stung by a bee then we have a proplem. But have my kit. (run)

So I guess I am the chip person? Nobody Said, need to know?????

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

I'm the say way after even one glass of wind. I cannot drink wind at all without getting completely tipsy. Or should I say windy. Will there be a lot of wind drinking? This sounds like more and more fun as time goes on!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I was going to be nice on the Wind. But I can not drink it anyway. I'm a suds kinda person ( and thats not dishwashing soap) LOL

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Chips and Dips would be be great Mary. Any kind that is your favorite will be good. My fav is Ruffles Cheddar Cheese, or whatever it is called.

I am posting this on all threads: Heidi at Dragonfly would love to see us on Sunday and she said Heronswood is OPEN!!!!!
Who would like to go there after the breakfast at Rarejem's and PNWMountaingirl's?

(Sharon)SouthPrairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Gwendalou, let's just say that it is going to be a windy weekend!

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Julie, if it won't be too much trouble, it would be great if a little piece of fish could be wrapped in foil separate from the poison stuff... ;) I actually love it cooked without anything but a little salt, so you wouldn't have to fuss with alternative seasonings or anything.

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Easy enough! I am going to put it together right before cooking, so you can tell me what you would like with it. I am planning on doing the salmon with butter, lemons, onions, and seasoning, and something similar with the cod. You'll just have to help me figure out how long to cook a smaller section so we don't turn it into a little fish crunchie!

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Works for me. Thank you! :)

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

I will bring a pasta salad and baked beans :0)

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Goody, I was hoping someone would bring baked beans and a pasta salad. You must have caught my telepathic waves. Maybe it is called something else, I is illerate 2day. Are you going to Heronswood and Dragonfly Sunday afternoon?

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

It all depends on the grandparent situation. I have been spending a great deal of time with them, packing for the move, moving them and now getting them settled in their new digs. They are 83 and 84 and need quite a bit of help. I have hardly seen my husband in the past two weeks so I may have to skip the trip to Kingston, we will see.

(Sharon)SouthPrairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Not for Saturday nite, but rather for Sunday brunch....Rarejem and I collected some "healthy" stuff in out trip over to EWA. Here I am with a few of the peaches we came home with.
