I'll take a shot and say it may be H. incurvula.

So is it safe to say - I tag it incurvula??

(Zone 1)

It does look like H. incurvula. Check out these pictures for comparison: http://www.sitascorner.se/incurvula.htm

There's only one photo at the incurvula listing in Plant Files: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/155341/ but I'm not certain that picture is correct, it looks more like Hoya brevialata to me.

Here's a photo in PF showing the leaves of both brevialata and incurvula side by side: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/91061/

Now I'm really confused. I went to Myhoyas website and clicked on her Hoya incurvula and she is listing it as brevialata. Are brevialata and incurvula two different plants, or possibly? One of her photo's shows 3 different leaves from the same plant and all three leaves are of different sizes: http://www.myhoyas.com/Hoya%20brevialata%20min.htm

LOL, just when I think I have something down pat with these plants, I get confused again. ^_^ I have two that I've always thought were brevialata ... at least I know they are hoya's.

No brevialata and incurvula, while similar are two different plants. Carol's (Alohahoya)post about the difference between the two that you have linked to Lin is what I believe to be correct. Brevialata has larger and less round leaves than incurvula. I have brevialata from a reliable source and its leaves are larger and more pointed than the picture here. But of course there's always the possibility that everyone's completely wrong....LOL

I'm going to study the leaves on my plant ... seems to me they are smaller and rounder than brevialata should be. I have pic's in Plant Files under brevialata. Mine is from Exotic Angel and it did not have a label when I purchased it a few years ago.

Lin...studying the leaves on any plant will drive you bonkers. Leaves can be so different...and the vary in size, shape and color all over the plant. I can only tell the difference in mine from the flowers...but since they are growing wild in the tree, I really don't care. :~)

I can see why it would drive you bonkers! The 2 leaves look so alike - oh well, I will put down incurvula for now and years from now when it flowers - I will ask you guys again :0)

There are tons of sites for good ID, too! My Hoyas is one of the best, I think.
