Quaker Visitor

Melbourne, FL

Had a surprise visitor today, a noisy Quaker Parrot. He was not with the wild Parrot group I see around here.....and he acted more like a lost pet.

He was attracted by the sounds my Lovebird was making and they called to each other. At one point the Quaker flew down into the screening of my porch. I finally wheeled my Lovebird cage outside, but the Quaker had taken off and did not return.

He is adorable and I hope he comes back. Your Lovebird is pretty too! Very nice shots of all!

Thanks Pelle. My lovebird enjoyed having company.

Just realized I forgot this pic of the Quaker asking directions from the Red-Bellied Woodpecker.

I do hope he finds food and a good home. Your pictures are great Gardenpom. It's always nice to have a stranger visit, but then you are left to worry about them when they leave.

Great pictures gardenpom! How about adding some to BirdFiles. There is only one picture of the Quaker Parrot on file so far: http://davesgarden.com/guides/birdfiles/go/658/
