Found this beautiful Giant Swallowtail in the greenhouse this morning.

A zebra in the nursery. I have paw-paws in the nursery which is one of their host plants and some of the leaves have been chewed but I can't find the cats. Another host plant is squirrel banana but darned if I can find info on that.

I've got lots of aristolochia tomentosa in the nursery but no signs of pipevine BF nor cats:>(

Growing spicebush in the nursery and have allowed sassafras to grow up around the nursery but still no BF or cats.

I'm growing lots of nector and host plants and I see lots of different BF so why don't I find more cats?

I spoke too soon, I checked my spicebushes again this am and found this lil fellar. I'm so proud! I'm going to keep up with it's progress and hope nothing eats it. It's the only one I found.

BigRed,

Lucky you!!! I'm green with envy...
We have yet to have a Giant Swallowtail or a Pipevine. We have host plants for both too...the Ruefor the GST and Virginia Snakeroot for the Pipevine...
It's a bit late in the season to expect a female to lay eggs now...big sigh...maybe we'll see one of each stop by and nectar in our gardens...one can dream :)
