wow! looks like you are having a great year J!
Now we know where all the BF's are!! LOL
Great pics!
Beautiful.
Thanks for viewing. Pretty much waiting for the New England asters to put on their show, they usually attract a plethora of butterfly visitors in September.
oh yes, I remember all your pictures from last year on those asters. I got two this year. One has already started to bloom.
Have you been seeing the same amount of butterflies? I have had less than the same time last year. I've had more monarchs though because I have more milkweed.
My asters are drawing close...what has really surprised me for this season is/will be the Fall Clematis which is already sporting a few blooms. As long as I can remember, it bloomed like clockwork every year on Sept. 1st. The buds are so ripe they may reveal en masse within a few days.
I concur on your butterfly population estimate. Monarchs have also been prevalent here but even they seem less than last year. I do think the bee population has increased over year's past. I attribute the occurance of more hummers to a better acurity of my environment.

Cute one!
Yesterday 5 monarchs at a time and a couple of cabbage whites. That's it. No swallowtails in days (that I've seen). Weird.
Nice J! Good catch on the sulphur!
Yah, Hackberry Emperor. I've had a couple of those lately.
I have only seen a couple of buckeye's too. Last year I had those everywhere!
I saw them lots later in the year. I had some late season cats too.
