conditions for rooting a brug. Help!

Ok I got a cutting for a brug yesterday. It might be rooted as it is in dirt. The top is a bit limp but green. It also is laying over seme not straight. What I need to know is should I put it in a smaller pot as it is in a big pot now or leave it alone? Then where should I set it in a window with sun or keep it in shade like you do other plant cuttings? Also should there be a dome over it or bag to keep humidity in? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I realy want to get more of these beauties!!! TIA!!!Happy Gardening!!!

Here's my two cents' worth, but keep in mind that I've killed LOTS of these. Keep it in the pot it's in, rather than disturbing it. Keep it moist, but not wet, and in good bright light but out of direct sunlight. Depending on which brug it is, high humidity can be bad for them, so I personally wouldn't cover it.
Now for the good news---if it dies, or if you just want others, I have a Frosty Pink and an unnamed white that I'll be cutting down just before first frost here in Alabama, and you're welcome to cuttings from both of them if you'd like. E-mail me directly if you do, and good luck on your present one.

Hi, my 2 cents, i agree with Judith. i received a rooted cutting and it bent over for several ays and is now quite happy, was under my oak trees so it never direct sun for fever lng. try to forget it for a few dayss and don't water it to much. lots of people start cuttings in small pots and move up, but i find in my zone and soil they root easier and grow much faster if i start them in larger pots, at least 1 to 3 gallons, but that is just what i like to do.

Another thing you can do for your floppy cutting is to stick a chopstick into the pot and lightly tie the cutting to it so it's upright. Seems to help

Hey guys thanks so much!!! Will leave it in that pot and try to tie it up a bit. Now have to find a nice place to set it!! Judith, thanks so much for the offer of the brug cuttings!! Will email ya here this evening!! I have two now that are the red ones. Not sure of the exact name will have to pull the books out and look again I know it began with an sang.... My latin spelling is quite bad!! LOL!! I started these from seed but have had no blooms yet, also no branching. I pinched the top out of one to see if it would branch per instructions in another post I made. Crossing fingers now!! These are 4 foot and climbing!!! If they keep going I told DH he would have to make me cathedral ceilings!! LOL!! Again thanks so much!!!
