Monarch cat house

Orlando, FL(Zone 9b)

Ok.. I removed the planter box as advised and came up with a "grid" shelf that I can poke the floral tubes thru that I filled with floral foam . (4 tubes for $1.49 @ Michaels)

It seems to be working .. most of the frass is falling down onto the bottom which I lined with newspaper.
We have released 6 Monarchs......... and have loads of big cats & chrysalids.

I only put the big cats in the "house" and still let the littler ones feed on my pots of milkweed on the lanai.

Ruth, that's a great idea. I may steal it!

I used one of those "washable" air conditioner filters.
I just cut it to the size I needed and removed the "filter" part.
I staggered the grids to make them smaller to keep the cats on the top (for the most part) one did Jay up on the bottom of the grid.
