Had breakfast with the birds yesterday. Picked up 5 new species, so a pretty good day. We spent most all day out birding, visited 4 different sites. A good day to be outside.

The Little Blue Heron preferred crawfish. Why is it that the sun is always in your face when a bird appears?

And a Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Saw several of these. I've been seeing them all summer on different lakes. They are fairly approachable for pics. Saw a Black-crowned Night Heron, but couldn't get a decent shot.
Great shots red!! The Little Blue Heron is sure beautiful and I always love the Egrets. That Yellow-crowned sure is taller than our Black-crowned. Glad you had such a good day with the camera, I sure enjoyed your photos.
