So now I have fallen in love with Brugs I am reading that too much heat is no good, average temp here is 85 degrees, will I suceed? If I plant under a tree will that help?
Heat
Yes,they should make it where you are.I live in zone 8b and it gets over 100 degrees here and i grow them. They do need some sun,not all shade.

Most of mine are in full sun for about 6 to 8 hours a day. I give them water every 3 days if it doesn't rain first..lol..my temps are over 90 degrees most of the days..Kenboy can vouch for that!
Average summer temp here in 8b/9a is above 90 degrees and the brugs keep plugging along. Your's should be quite happy there as you are close to natural growing conditions.
Oh thank you moonhowl...checking every day and will be so excited to see a shoot.....can't wait!
Man, that first bloom can be almost as anticipated as a first child....just requires much less preparation, but still gets all the pictures and excitement.
Sue, you have to post pictures so we can all celebrate with you....GRIN.
Port and cigars on the veranda....Jean
Well the Brugs are not delivering but the caracola seeds are coming niceley and so are the bilimbi so I am not too disapointed...Thanks for the encouragement...
Thus far only one of my Brugs has bloomed...a NOID yellow single. I tend to be a bit philosophical about it....either they will bloom or they won't. They are in the ground and are green and growing....as long as they do that, they can stay, because I think they are pretty little trees. That being said, I am still delighted when they do bloom....grin
If I went out and howled at the moon do you think it would help:)
Hey, I don't know if it will do a single things for the Brugs, but I guarantee you'll feel great!! GRIN
