A friend has a pond that was stocked with these fish to control weeds and such... He now wants to add in Irises, lilies and a few other plants but is not sure what he can put in without the fish eating the plants. Ive never heard of this before but Im hoping some of you have. Any info on what kinds of plants he can use would be greatly appreciated!

Good morning Caren, this ? made me think -lol- so i googled. As per the dept of Enviromental Conservation, these fish ''will not control emergent plant species such as cattail, bulrush, or floating leaved such as water lily.'' I would post the link if i knew how to do it. Hope this helps. Liz
