Hi Everyone,
I was in contact with Fay today in reference to Blueberry Candy, one of her hybrids. She lost this plant a few years back and would love to be able to have it again. I am on a mission to try to recover one for her. If anyone has a small plant or even a leaf to sell or trade or whatever, I would appreciate hearing from you. Fay has been very helpful to me and I would like to return the favor if I possibly can.

I found 1 on Ebay if I don't get outbid. The auction doesn't end until Thursday night I believe. Wish me luck! And please don't bid on this one.
Pat, just make sure Fay doesn't bid too... I saw it yesterday and let her know as well. It was also listed on Blossoms, Birds, Butterflies (their website) for leaves, but sold out at the moment. Hopefully they'll have a leaf or two for this nice lady!
Blossoms, Birds, & Butterflies is where I found it too before I talked to Fay. She wanted to know where I had found it. I told her the website said sold out, but suggested that she contact them, hoping that since she was the hybridizer they would find something for her. Then I saw the one they were offering on Ebay. One way or another I will make sure that she has her plant back again. She is supposed to email letting me know if she was able to get it. As I said, she has been a big help to me. This is just something I need to follow through on. Thanks for your post.

I'm counting on her to take good care of Fay. I'd be surprised if she didn't.
Success! I found leaves and they are being shipped right now. They'll be potted up and waiting to grow a new plant for Fay. I'm so excited to be able to do this. She has helped me with my classroom project. Now my students will help her by raising this special plant just for her.

Good news! 3 leaves arrived looking strong and healthy even in this heat. They are potted up and waiting to grow. Now we need mouse ears. Can't wait! I told Fay that we would take pictures along the way so she could see her plant's progress. My students will just love doing that. Fay emailed saying, "YOU MADE MY DAY!"

Success! Yes, we finally have mouse ears from Blueberry Candy. My students are thrilled. They can't wait to send one of these little beauties to Fay.

Don't laugh! I have 5 leaves potted up. That could be quite a few babies. Let's see what I have in the spring.
