Not over our way. They are one of the most invasive weeds. The fruit are so easily broken into by birds and the seeds are spread so fast they're beyond control.

X, do you have pics of the vine, which one is it?? Have you eaten the fruit yet???

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

The fruits are about the size of large grapes .. haven't tried the fruit. It also makes a most amazing bract surrounding the buds too!

The fruit does taste good, better if you get enough so that you can chill it.

She sure is pretty! Love the bract!

The fruit in the picture is way too old for eating .. can't remember who but someone told me to let it fall naturally off the vine and sit awhile, I also read that you should plant the flesh surrounding the seeds as well. So I did. One actually broke open itself and was on the verge of being dry. I planted all the seeds .. it will be interesting to see if the seeds germinate faster than dried clean seeds.

want to trade for some Passi Allardii seeds I picked up today. Mine is growing 30' up in the oak tree so I have never gotten to see the blooms ROFL. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3071/3034805384_bc55c5ff2a_o.jpg It doesn't die back in winter for me and neither does Cearula

Xera,
You have passiflora foetida. There are several different foetida vines. The fruit is probably not edible but the vine is nice.
