Where can I get these kind of birds? What is an easier kind of bird for my 10 year old to handle. I love my ladys but I don't think they will do lol!
Show quality 4-H chickens
I spoke to our local 4-H poultry rep a couple years ago, and she was full of excellent information on the local 4-H/show scene. She also recommended local breeders and what breeds were being shown.
If you have one, and can locate her/him, I would start there.

Our parish does not have any online info but there are a few in LA that do. Ive left some messages and hope to hear form someone Monday.
I'm not sure if this means you have a local extension office and have checked them out. But around here they are the best source of local info...
