Looks like they shipped nicely. She did an awesome job with the labels! Can't wait for you to show them again when they get a little bigger

How cute to see the babies. I never buy leaves, but once, someone sent one free with some plants.

That's way to cool Bonnie! You sure did pick some nice leaves out. I'm making a list now to order from violet venture when it gets cooler.Nice to know she's a good seller.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I am working on a leaf order from Violet ventures and making it a project. avPat told me if you register, you can keep adding to your order.........take lots of time...........even delete one if you change your mind......so I intend to make it a fun game over several days.

Bonnie.......that is amazing!!! A baby on a sent leaf...............simply wonderful!!!

Sally, you are missing out if you don't order leaves............by the way, Bonnie............can't believe you ordered a leaf of Ann......I paid over 10.00 for a leaf of her from an ebay vendor..........she is magnificent looking!!!

South, TX

I grow plenty of babies. I just don't enjoy seeing a leaf in the mail. I do enjoy plants, some little some big. Just a lot more fun.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

I have a tendency to plop leaves in water, and then leave them there if I do not have time to set them on the day they arrive. They quite often grow little plantlets like yours! Aren't they cute?!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Sally, I am the one who is an extremist when it comes to propagating...........it is just my passion.......and when they get big and beautiful, I lose interest in them and am ready to start babies again..............

Ottawa, IL(Zone 9a)

gail;
i never ordered a leaf of ann as i have never seen one offered anywhere,,there was a plant for sale on ebay, but i did not win it. if you ever see it anywhere let me know, i really wanted that plants so bad. lol

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I got it as a leaf from Rhubarb60 who is really John Cook from Cape Cod.............but he was really getting high bids and I can't do that again...........I would love to buy the plant rather than the leaf, but I have never seen her offered as a plant.

If you can be patient, I have her stuck right now and I am sure she will make babies but I also ordered a few vintage violet leaves which I will never do again..........they aren't nearly as hardy as the newer ones and I lost one leaf of a ...............darn it............I can't find which container I stuck them in.........let me go back to ebay and see what I did buy............or rather go to paypal I guess.......

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Bonnie, I just checked and I got Snow Magic, Black Jack Supreme, Ann for 12.50 and Bleuberry Sundae........not I just have to find them on the shelves and check them (LOL)

I lost a Bleuberry Sundae and he sent me Silverado as a gift.........these are all just leaves.....

I have down 2 good leaves.........just planted a little more than a week ago........but remember to ask me if I forget.........I know I won't forget when I actually get babies..............which should be about 6-8 weeks??????

Bluebird Greenhouse lists on their website leaves for Ann (B.bryant) AVSA registration no. 6649 Double rose-pink fringed/two-tone center, edge. Variegated dark green, white, some pink, longifolia, quilted, cupped, glossy ruffled foliage. Large.

http://www.bluebirdgreenhouse.com/html/allviolets.htm . I don't know about them, didn't buy from them (yet?), I just got there searching for something.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

oh my goodness, Goofybulb............you just found a winner of a plant.........how stupid of me to pay that for leaves. Thank yu so much!!!

I have ordered from Bluebird several times. They always put them in too big of a pot but that is no big deal. Just plant them in your own soil and the plant will grow to their 4" pot............they send healthy nice plants. (don't ever let a broken leaf upset you)

I have even heard that Rob gave a speech at a convention where he says he starts standards in a 4" pot to begin with ...............

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

If you are ever in the area you need to go and visit them. They are not very far from me.....maybe an hour drive. Very nice people and beautiful greenhouses. You could go broke just looking.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I would be in big time trouble if I even lived within 6 hours of a greenhouse full of violets or any gessies............

Richland, MI(Zone 5b)

Sorry, Gail, that my finding was un-timed. But, whenever it happened that I bought something that cost much, only to see the same thing later at much better price, I would buy it again... LOL, decreasing the average...

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Maybe I will go ahead and buy the plant..........then I might go on ebay and sell all the babies from the mother leaf (excepting my good friend Bonnie who wants one, too)..............

I like that "decreasing the average".......makes good sense to me.

Monticello, MN

hey guys , violet gallery has Ann too , they are nice people and have a big choice of leaves and plants and they send nice leaves and plants , I have ordered from them many times , I have seen leaves go on ebay for many many dollars and looked and found that violetgallery.com has the same leaves for the regular prices

Connie :)

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I am sick at my stomach thinking how much I paid for the Ann leaves from Cape Cod. Will have to check out violetgallery, too.

Monticello, MN

Hi Gail ,

Violetgallery has a few russians too and I know you are wanting some of them

Connie

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

LLG substituted so many standards I don't even want that now I have to save a few pennies for awhile..........I should have said........"no subs"............

Thanks for the heads up though and I will go drool and make my list...........I love Russian violet blooms the best of all (at least today I do)

Headed to Violet Gallery............

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I grew Ian Selena and Ian Madam last year, but they have some new Ian's..........have to at least order leaves..........
